| Teresa Seaton is a Canadian Stained Glass artist creating highly original and dynamic landscape and floral designs for galleries and private commissions. Her uniquely sculptural works are created using multi layers of panels and glass with spun wire incorporated as a structural element and design accent.
Tiffany's innovative technique of layering multiple panels into finished glass windows and the dynamic simplicity of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Glass style served as a springboard creating the foundation for her technical skills. The resulting panels display an elegant simplicity filled with rhythmic patterns and flowing organic lines.
Sharing her interpretation of the Canadian landscape, Seaton's layered glass panel constructions evoke the stylized outlined imagery often found in the Group of Seven paintings. Her use of a refined colour pallet creates a mood and atmosphere that is distinctive to her work and reflective of her artistic message. |
